Lauri Polder has worked in high-tech since 2001, after graduating from Tallinn University of Technology with an MSc in Computer Engineering.
From 2001 to 2011, he held sales and marketing leadership positions at several commercial software businesses.
From 2011 to 2015, he helped build GrabCAD – an online community for mechanical engineers. He was in charge of their Engineering Design Challenges, which helped grow the community from a few thousand to 4 million members by 2015. He established partnerships with NASA, GE, and other innovators.
He has been a freelance consultant since 2015, advising tech businesses to build and grow online communities and refine strategy and branding.
